About me

I am a writer and Lecturer in Film Studies at University of West England (UWE), Bristol, specialising in contemporary film, television and video art, Lacanian and Freudian psychoanalysis, queer theory, and theories of neoliberalism and late-capitalism. My first book, Taking Back Desire: A Psychoanalytic Approach to Queerness and Neoliberalism on Screen (2025) is out now with Routledge. I am currently working on a new book about the film Spring Breakers (2012), directed by Harmony Korine, also to be published with Routledge and am the Reviews Editor for Open Screens journal.
